my name’s patti but i’m known all over as basschick and i see a lot of friends here *waves*

i’ve been working f/t in the adult side of the web since 1996.  we got into it to promote our phone sex numbers which we were advertising on cable and in print.  after 9 years of gay and str8 niche avs sites, free sites and galleries, we pulled thousands of pages down on june 22 2005 and started our own non nude muscle site.  i actually shot and edited all the video which was very exciting smile

i write text for many webmasters and sometimes supervise paysite projects for people.

i just launched our own program, http://www.musclebucks.com , to promote http://www.manofmuscle.com

Great thread!

Well, I go by the name of Thundercizzle or Thunder for short.
I have trained on a lot of professional studio equipment and programs, including Pro Tools training at Stankonia which is the studio owned by Outkast.  My real interest and ambition is in audio but I used my knowledge of video and audio editing to work for a straight asian porn company about 3 years ago.  Around that time, I met my man Bryce, who along with John were taking over linkmeallover.  The natural course was for me to start working for them as we transformed into http://www.JustUsBoys.com which many of you already know is an incredible, free community site and a great resource for traffic.
So.. today I am the video editor for http://www.justusboysclub.com , http://www.amateurhunks.com , http://www.muchachos.com , and some other sites powered by JUB.
I am also the webmaster of:
http://www.bearzone.com , hence the ‘BZ’, which is a blog site geared equally at men that love bears, chasers, chubs, daddies, etc.  It is also becoming a great resource for traffic.
http://www.gaymerz.com , a blog site geared at gay and gay friendly gamers.  Eventually I plan on evolving that into a central hub of sorts for gaymerz.
I guess you could also call me a bit of a promo runner for JUB too.  I have put in motion a lot of great ideas and ventures for us that are continuing to pay off.
I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you guys and gals as I learn and grow more within this industry.

I’m Jason.....i guess I don’t have a nick name yet. (open to suggestions) I am new to being a web master...but not new to gay porn.  I’m the owner of Stud Mall and HairyStudsvideo.com.  Stud Mall is a producer and distributor of Amateur, Homemade, and Hardcore gayporn.  Most of my business is getting our producers DVDs into video stores.  I recently built our web retail store....so I am looking for ways to build that business more.  Also, I have joined this board to learn more about how we can better exploit all of our video content....either by building pay sites or offering our content for sale to other webmasters.

Thanks to the folks who run this board...its a HUGE help.....glad I can be apart of it.

Always
JASON

So, I never really jumped onboard this thread, and I probably should.

I’m Ken, currently the associate editor over at AVN Online, where I write a good bit about the gay adult Internet industry. (I’ve quickly become “the gay voice” of the magazine, haha, since they don’t have anyone else to pick up that slack. Fine with me, though. Gotta love gay porn.)

I also write a good deal of freelance entertainment journalism, mostly about movies and music. I’ve interviewed everyone from Ang Lee and Jake Gyllenhaal to Belinda Carlisle, Debby Harry and Tammy Faye Bakker.  And yes, I made her cry. smile

I’ve been writing about porn for a while now, not just for AVN and GAYVN, but for Unzipped, X-Factor and Honcho as well.

Hope to get to know you all more in the coming months.

Hello everyone, some of you may already know me, but here goes.

Been designing web sites since 1999, started as a hobbie. In 2000 I designed a web site for a online game community which grew to over 50,000 members, ran it for about 2 years till I left that company.

In 2002 I took over web master duties for GoldenBoysUSA and worked there for about 2 years. I also directed and starred in a few of their movies.

In 2004 I started a gay personals site which was closed down after a year due to the buggy encripted software I was useing. Sold off the domain name and took a break for a while.

I just launched my latest project which is another online personals and chat site for gay men, this time around I got better software which is not encripted, woohoo!! http://www.gaymojo.net

Well that’s all really, don’t have as impressive of a resume as some of you, hehe. Good to be here.

Welcome, Tristin! And thanks for finding those bugs.

What kind of “game community” was it? Like a online RPG? Or more like a community made up of video gamers? I ask because I own GAMER.US and I’d like to develop it into a community for video gamers, using the same backend and most of the front end of GW. Thing is, I don’t know squat about video gaming. I sorta grew out of that when I was about 10. No offense to all you gamers. It’s just the last thing I want to do for fun is sit in front of a computer, unless it involves jerking off. grin

It was for a online role-playing game called Dransik, which is now called Ashen Empires. Starting a gaming site would not be so hard. You have to decide what your focus is. You could go with online or offline games. Make a directory with game listings, allow users to review games, have a forum, ect. Take a look at http://www.mpogd.com and http://www.mmorpg.com which are hands down the two best sites for online games. http://www.Gamespot.com is a good example of offline gaming site. Online games will draw a bigger communtiy if you do it right.

Hey DickHunter, I had no idea you were into gaming.  I own http://www.gaymerz.com !
Don’t get me started talking about video games.  We’ll be here all day and I’ve got work to do..
Online gaming sites will draw a much bigger crowd considering the upcoming evolution in gaming consoles.

I’m not into gaming. That’s why I haven’t done anything with the domain yet.  I feel sorta weird launching a gaming community when the last game I played was Ms Pac Man.

Is there any particular reason I’d want to choose between an online focus and an offline focus? Why not just make it a sight for all gamers, and have seperate sections for the two different groups. Sorta like how GW supposedly is for Adult and Mainstream webmasters, even though there’s not a lot of mainstream activity at the moment.
