Maybe consider a different ranking system as most everyone uses a visual scale such as one star, two stars, three stars, etc. That’s what I look for - someone being a Jr. Member wouldn’t catch my eye, but someone who posts and has a rank of 3 or 4 stars definitely would.
On a side note, consider sticking with one color scheme. The rotating colors makes me think I changed to a different site. I like the blue.
Thanks for the feedback! Actually, there is a visual scale. Little green boxes. But since even I don’t have enough posts yet to have two boxes, I can see how you’d miss it.
I dig what you’re saying about the colors, and that issue has crossed my mind. But overall, I like the way the colors define the individual sections of the site, complete with a pink directory (pink pages). The colors all come together in a functional way within the navigation bar and on the main page. I think it’s worth the initial shock of the color scheme changing. Plus, I think there’s often something refreshing about the change of color schemes.
I like the forums scheme the best as well, which is why I used it for the main page and control panel.
